Passion for God’s Presence 3

In John 15:14 it says “You are My friends if you do whatever I command you”

In our media-driven culture today its so easy (for even the church) to make celebrities, politicians and athletes on a higher level than we should.  When we watch our favorite celebrity, its funny how we think we really know them, imitate them and feel like they are part of our lives.

On the other hand God is immeasurably closer to us than any famous person, and His desire is that we draw closer to Him.  He will even do much more in our lives than any celebrity ever could!

Jesus said “if you love me you will obey my commands”. This is a little different from the media which says “if you love me you will buy my stuff”.  Young people, lets keep our priorities straight today! You have a God that is super crazy in love to pursue you, will you pursue Him?
